Aden

Overview

The Aden is a tall, cylindrical exterior fixture with a matte black top and base surrounding a round brown rope shade that reads as textural and contemporary. At 46 inches high and roughly 16 inches across, its visual scale makes it a vertical anchor for a covered porch or flanking an entry while still working as a dramatic indoor foyer piece; weigh in at 32 pounds when assessing mounting. The single bulb sits inside the tubular shade so the fixture reads warm and layered rather than overtly industrial, an effect that complements both coastal and modern exterior lighting schemes.

For selection and installation, note this model is rated for indoor or outdoor use, runs on 120 volts, accepts one bulb up to 60 watts and is dimmable. Confirm bulb style and exact mounting details with the specification sheet and installation guide prior to purchase, and verify that your wall or post can support the 32 pound weight and the 46 inch height without obstructing walkways. The rope surround offers texture and vertical repetition, so consider sight lines and proximity to other fixtures to avoid visual clutter.
